TL;DR

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; remote from home while covering the New England territory. Requires 100% travel within the assigned territory, with limited overnight travel.

Salary: $38.00–$40.50 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Install, troubleshoot, validate, modify, maintain, and repair Beckman Coulter laboratory equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective actions to ensure optimal instrument performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical training and responsive customer service to clinical and research laboratories.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and meet required service cycle times.
  • Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service-call planning and team objectives.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers and support the training of newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
  • Experience managing a dynamic service schedule and independently completing service documentation, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory and meet company performance and compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record over the last three years.
  • Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform frequent bending, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and prolonged sitting or standing.

Nice to have

  • Field service experience with medical devices, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Customer-facing experience in high-pressure hospital or laboratory settings.
