Director, AI Acceleration, Business Strategy (PL) (AI and Financial Services): Leading Schwab’s enterprise AI acceleration function from use-case development through scaled enablement with an accent on AI product roadmaps, platform partnerships, and responsible AI governance. Focus on building cross-functional teams, negotiating strategic technology agreements, coordinating AI platforms and data capabilities, and reporting business outcomes and risks to executive leadership.
Location: Onsite in Westlake, TX; San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; or Lone Tree, CO
Salary: $121,400–$269,900 per year

What you will do
- Lead the AI Acceleration function and build a high-performing team across AI Strategy, Program, Technology, Data, Cybersecurity, Product, Risk, Legal, Finance, and HR.
- Manage the firmwide roadmap for priority AI products and use cases, driving coordinated delivery across the enterprise.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate AI strategies into business outcomes and define the infrastructure required for enablement.
- Design and implement governance frameworks covering model risk, compliance, supervision, and responsible AI.
- Negotiate and manage enterprise AI and data agreements with strategic technology providers.
- Coordinate AI platforms, tooling, and data capabilities while reporting progress, risks, and outcomes to executives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Significant experience leading large-scale AI, technology, data, analytics, digital, or other transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools, vendors, emerging trends, enterprise technology architectures, data platforms, and AI ecosystems.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, product-oriented teams, and platform or enablement functions in large enterprises.
- Experience designing and managing risk governance processes in regulated industries and negotiating complex technology agreements.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, influence, and portfolio leadership skills.
