Vice President, Marketing (RFP)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chicago, Illinois, United States, with a flexible mix of remote and in-office work

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the global RFP, RFI, and DDQ strategy, quality standards, and daily execution across products and regions.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of RFP and Business Communications professionals.
• Write and edit executive-level responses for complex RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and firm awards.
• Translate investment capabilities, processes, performance, and thought leadership into clear client-ready messaging.
• Improve RFP processes, content infrastructure, and AI-assisted drafting tools while reporting on volume, win rates, and pipeline health.
• Partner with Marketing, Investor Relations, Compliance, Investment teams, senior leaders, and Partners on high-priority opportunities and escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in RFP or proposal management, marketing communications, or investor relations within investment management, private markets, consulting, investment banking, or financial services.
• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing writers and analysts.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize a high-volume, deadline-driven pipeline.
• Experience with RFP or content management technology, such as Salesforce, Loopio, or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of private markets strategies, including primaries, secondaries, co-investments, private credit, and growth equity.
• Experience partnering with Compliance or Legal on regulatory and disclosure considerations in client communications.
