IT Infrastructure Administrator (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Oakville, Canada; candidates must be currently located in the Greater Toronto Area and eligible to work in Canada. After-hours and weekend support may be required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support core infrastructure systems, including Kubernetes, virtual machines, clusters, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
• Build infrastructure solutions focused on high availability, scalability, resiliency, integrity, network security, automation, and monitoring.
• Provide technical advice and leadership for IT projects and recommend improvements to existing platforms.
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to sustainable, best-of-breed infrastructure solutions.
• Document infrastructure architecture and hand over systems and processes to IT Operations.
• Act as a third-level escalation resource and help ensure agreed service levels are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a 24/7 IT environment and at least 3 years of direct Kubernetes containerization, cluster design, implementation, and management experience.
• Experience with CloudStack, Proxmox, EKS, GKE, and AKS, plus strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, and cloud computing.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and scripting skills using Terraform, shell, Python, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, network and storage environments, DevOps tools and culture, monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboards such as ELK, Prometheus, and Otel.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and currently located in the Greater Toronto Area.
