What you will do

• Define, evolve, and communicate the business value and roadmap for Scholar Gateway.
• Lead product areas covering scholarly content ingestion, lifecycle management, AI-driven discovery, and publishing partner onboarding.
• Use customer feedback, usage metrics, market insights, user research, and partner needs to prioritize product development.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to shape platform capabilities, APIs, services, and integrations.
• Lead publisher pilot onboarding and production efforts, monitor results, and recommend improvements.
• Present the product to internal teams, publishing partners, and customers while supporting documentation and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Experience in the scholarly publishing industry and extensive product development experience.
• Proven ability to own and deliver product roadmap areas from discovery through execution.
• Experience with technically complex, platform-oriented products, including APIs, services, or integrations.
• Confidence working with AI-enabled products and understanding how AI systems use external content and data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and product judgment skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and work independently with minimal guidance.
