Senior/Staff AI Product Manager, Phoenix Platform (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Portugal; a valid EU visa is required. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: €50,400–€79,200 per year, including base, variable compensation, and equity.

What you will do

• Own the Applied AI platform roadmap, including strategic initiatives, innovation bets, and platform maintenance.
• Develop the agents, evaluation systems, harnesses, and observability supporting AI-powered care products.
• Balance platform cost, latency, quality, reuse, differentiation, and decisions around open-source or in-house models.
• Scope and deliver initiatives with Engineering, AI, Product, Clinical, and Operations teams.
• Maintain production quality by monitoring model degradation, evaluation results, annotations, and failure modes.
• Own AI safety in partnership with the clinical team and manage and grow a small product team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including recent hands-on ownership of an AI-powered product.
• Significant technical depth in AI and generative AI, including models, prompting, retrieval, and agent architectures.
• Experience shipping LLM-based features to real users and handling evaluation, annotation, observability, and unexpected failure modes.
• Ability to contribute to technical discussions and connect AI engineering decisions to member experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication, product judgment, and ability to track the state of the art.
• Experience using coding agents for debugging, data analysis, production monitoring, tooling, research, or process automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with memory, guardrails, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Voice AI experiences shipped to production.
• Experience building experimentation or evaluation infrastructure, including A/B testing, evaluations, or human annotation.
• Knowledge of foundation model training and deployment.
• Healthcare or other regulated-domain experience.
