Director of Communications & Content

Location: Fully remote, Canada

Salary: C$120,000–C$165,000 annually, plus a 15% target bonus

What you will do

• Lead Bulldog Reporter as editor-in-chief, including audience growth, six editorial franchises, editorial standards, contributor direction, and the Bulldog Awards program.
• Grow the publication from approximately 5,000 to 20,000 active subscribers within 12 months while maintaining acquisition economics and engagement quality.
• Design surveys and research methodologies, direct analysis, author flagship reports, and defend the findings publicly.
• Run press outreach, analyst and media relations, awards activity, executive visibility, and the thought-leader program.
• Hire, manage, and develop the Content Marketing Manager while coordinating priorities with Demand Generation.
• Review content performance data regularly and use insights to guide future assignments and content strategy.

Requirements

• Combined PR or editorial experience and hands-on content marketing experience; both backgrounds are required.
• Experience designing research instruments, executing surveys, analyzing results, and defending methodology publicly.
• Strong analytical ability, business judgment, and fluency in content performance data.
• Experience leading people and collaborating with demand generation teams.
• Professional fluency in the PR and communications industry.
• Must be located in Canada for this remote role.
