2027 Summer Software Engineer Intern (Embedded)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; in-person, 12-week summer internship

What you will do

• Write firmware for sensor nodes and software that synchronizes them.
• Build features that improve the developer experience for engineering teams.
• Enhance the scalability and reliability of platform services.
• Contribute to storage and data infrastructure.
• Work on real-time systems subject to timing, power, thermal, and radio constraints.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Working proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, or JAX.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
• Exposure to embedded development through coursework, personal projects, competition teams, or internships.
• Willingness to work on hardware and collaborate on engineering projects.
• Provide a work sample or a short explanation of relevant prior experience with the application.
