Technical Product Manager III (Data Platform)

Location: Remote, with onsite travel to the headquarters in Brisbane, California as needed.

Salary: $118,150–$167,475 base salary, plus equity, cash bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate engineering initiatives for the Commercial Data Platform and data products.
• Define requirements, prioritize technical development, and manage software infrastructure supporting Commercial and R&D initiatives.
• Partner with laboratory and business stakeholders to optimize workflows and define data products aligned with HIPAA and HITECH.
• Translate product requirements into epics and stories with clear user acceptance criteria, and track delivery in Jira.
• Lead communication between users, engineers, and key decision-makers.
• Create and operationalize a technical strategy and roadmap for data products, pipelines, and tooling, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a software development environment, ideally in biotechnology and NGS.
• Expertise in identifying and prioritizing software features.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional trade-off decisions and improving organizational processes.
• Experience leading software development for regulated markets, including FDA or CAP/CLIA standards, laboratory operations, medical affairs, or clinical study operations for diagnostics.

Nice to have

• Experience building solutions focused on multiomics, NGS, or proteomics.
