Modeling and Analysis Engineers

Location: In-person in San Francisco, California, 5 days per week

What you will do

• Lead engineering development for an automated design engine.
• Expand and refine capabilities that use AI to automate engineering processes.
• Build and maintain software tools for simulation, performance modeling, and optimization.
• Develop tools that produce final engineering design deliverables for utility-scale power and data-center projects.
• Analyze complex system design spaces and identify critical bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Experience building rigid-body dynamics simulators, FEA or CFD solvers, or other physics and engineering modeling tools.
• Experience developing trade-study and optimization tools for complex system analysis.
• Broad technical understanding across multiple domains, with deep expertise in one or two areas.
• Strong first-principles thinking and evidence of creating significant improvements beyond conventional approaches.
• Hands-on engineering execution, extreme ownership, and the ability to prioritize high-impact problems.
• Applications are open across all experience levels, from new graduates and early-career engineers to mid-level and senior engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience building or shipping internal tools or products with AI coding agents.
