Truck Operations Specialist (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Dallas, TX; the role operates from terminals in Aledo, El Paso, Houston, Palmer, Phoenix, and Laredo. The position requires on-site vehicle operations, travel of up to 50%, rotating day and night shifts, overtime, and some weekends.

Salary: $31.00–$38.50 per hour for roles based in Dallas, TX.

What you will do

• Pilot autonomous semi trucks during on-road and closed-course testing for development and commercial pilot operations.
• Monitor the hirify.global Driver during extended autonomous operation and maintain constant alertness.
• Record real-time feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineering teams.
• Escalate operational blockers, suggest solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain current knowledge of software and operational changes, partner-platform access, certifications, and accreditations.
• Represent hirify.global when interacting with the public and work toward operational performance goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial truck-driving experience and a valid U.S. interstate Class A CDL are required.
• U.S. work authorization, a valid U.S. driver's license, a passing motor vehicle report, and all DOT qualifications are required.
• Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, regular overtime, and some weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication, proactive prioritization, and strategic decision-making skills are required.
• Approximately 80% of the shift is spent in the vehicle, with travel of up to 50% as needed.

Nice to have

• Truck driver trainer or instructor experience.
• Truck technician experience or background in operations, technology, customer service, or automotive work.
• Experience with G-Suite, command-line interfaces, or technology tools.
• Inquisitive problem-solving approach and experience working collaboratively.
