Senior Robot Operator (Robotics)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; includes in-person Robot Park operations and travel to customer sites as needed, less than 25%.

What you will do

• Set up operational environments and safely tele-operate robots according to established procedures.
• Inspect robots and equipment daily, troubleshoot issues, and escalate technical or system problems.
• Collect accurate, efficient, and high-quality operational data.
• Identify and report safety hazards, near misses, protocol deviations, and unexpected robot behavior.
• Train and support Robot Operators while modeling consistent operating practices.
• Maintain documentation, improve operational processes, and support cross-functional Robot Park activities and customer-site operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Professionalism, reliability, accountability, situational awareness, and sound judgment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork, customer service, and ability to train or coach others.
• Experience writing or following detailed procedures, standard operating procedures, or work instructions.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, work at a workstation, and safely lift or move approximately 25–45 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience operating technical equipment, robotic systems, machinery, or similar technology.
• Experience with VR systems or tele-operation environments.
• Experience training, mentoring, or supporting the development of others.
• Familiarity with Unity, other video game engines, or SteamVR.
• Experience in safety-sensitive manufacturing, robotics, warehouse, laboratory, or controlled operational environments.
