Director, AI (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, with a hybrid schedule of 1–3 office days per week for employees local to Bellevue or New York; fully remote for eligible employees located farther from company offices. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $204,507–$269,942 USD annually, plus eligible equity and bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead execution of the AI engineering roadmap across the Creative, Audience, and Outcomes product portfolio.
• Build, ship, and operate customer-facing generative AI, agentic workflow, retrieval, and applied machine learning capabilities.
• Own architecture and technical patterns covering model selection, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, cost, and latency.
• Prototype concepts, write code, run experiments, review architectures, and work directly with engineers.
• Establish evaluation and experimentation frameworks while managing inference cost, throughput, caching, and capacity planning.
• Hire, lead, and develop AI and machine learning engineers and report progress, risks, and results to engineering and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience shipping AI or machine learning capabilities into production products used by customers.
• Working knowledge of large language models, agentic systems, retrieval architectures, embeddings, evaluation methods, and fine-tuning trade-offs.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, testing, and production operations, with hands-on coding experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in advertising technology, media measurement, marketing technology, or consumer insights.
• Experience operating agentic AI systems, MLOps, LLM observability, cloud-native AI platforms, or large-scale data infrastructure.
• Experience working with enterprise customers and an MS or advanced technical degree.
