Regulatory Surveillance Analyst 2 (AI)

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Montreal office, Canada

What you will do

• Review eComms and trade surveillance alerts for new and existing clients.
• Decode trader terminology and work with front-office staff to understand complex trading concepts.
• Identify and escalate communications or activities that may indicate market abuse, conflicts of interest, or other misconduct.
• Monitor regulatory and market changes and identify enhancements for surveillance controls and compliance processes.
• Support improvements to the Compliance product and expansion into new markets.
• Research complex issues, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions on autonomous projects.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of market abuse and other misconduct in financial services.
• Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and relevant regulatory guidance.
• Good understanding of trader terminology, surveillance operating models, and governance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work proactively and autonomously on complex projects.
