Manager, Investment Compliance (Investment Operations)

Salary: CAD 125,000–145,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee intraday and overnight compliance alert resolution workflows.
• Review monthly and quarterly client compliance reporting and attestations.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce processes and controls supporting internal and external audits.
• Interpret and implement state, provincial, and national insurance regulator investment guidelines with Legal and Front Office partners.
• Align asset classifications for complex investments with Legal and Investment Accounting teams.
• Review quarterly rule reviews, monthly rule audits, reconciliations, internal projects, and ad hoc reporting while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in investment banking, asset management, insurance, or financial services.
• Experience managing complex investment projects and understanding legal, accounting, and operational matters.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory and statutory frameworks, reinsurance treaties, investment accounting, private asset operations, and structured finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex compliance and legal concepts and explain them clearly to stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with private and structured finance.
• Exposure to Aladdin, Bloomberg, WSO, Clearwater, DUCO, Power BI, Power Query, or other data and reporting tools.
