Senior Staff Product Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, or London

Salary: $200,000–$275,000 base compensation in San Francisco/New York City; $183,000–$254,000 in other US locations, plus equity.

Writer builds an end-to-end enterprise generative AI platform for deploying AI agents grounded in company data and powered by enterprise-grade LLMs.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact product initiatives from discovery and problem definition through launch, adoption, and iteration.
• Shape product strategy and multi-quarter roadmaps with the VP of Product and product leadership.
• Engage enterprise buyers, end users, and prospects to identify unmet needs and validate problem-solution fit.
• Partner with engineering and design on requirements, technical tradeoffs, LLMs, agents, platform architecture, and data.
• Align go-to-market, sales, marketing, customer success, and executive stakeholders around strategy and outcomes.
• Define success metrics, evaluate impact, and mentor product managers across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience shipping complex, high-impact products.
• Senior- or staff-level experience operating autonomously across ambiguous, multi-team problem spaces.
• Experience with customer discovery, product strategy, execution, and outcome measurement.
• Technical credibility in system design, LLM capabilities, data, and architecture.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder alignment, strategic thinking, and execution skills.
• Experience mentoring product managers and working in SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building products powered by LLMs, generative AI, or large-scale AI/ML systems.
• Background in enterprise software, developer platforms, or developer-facing products.
• Familiarity with AI governance, guardrails, and deploying AI in regulated or high-stakes environments.
