Manager II, Operations Management - (M2) 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $68,000–$93,500 per year

What you will do

• Supervise employees performing assembly, inspection, testing, and final testing of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment and components.
• Set daily priorities, create work schedules, assign tasks, and manage shift handoffs and operations reviews.
• Lead pre-shift, safety, and work-team meetings while tracking performance metrics, cycle time, and production results.
• Coordinate with service and customer groups to secure resources, tools, materials, and services required for production schedules.
• Improve safety, equipment efficiency, manufacturing quality, and department capabilities through Lean, Safety, and Quality initiatives.
• Hire, train, coach, evaluate, reward, and manage the performance and development of employees.

Requirements

• Understanding and application of guidelines, procedures, and processes within the relevant job family.
• Experience supervising day-to-day work and coaching and developing employees.
• Ability to use judgment and precedent to resolve production scheduling and daily-priority issues.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving extended standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, tight spaces, noise, and hand or power tools.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment in a clean-room environment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
• Travel up to 10% of the time; relocation is not available for this position.
