Product Engineering Support Specialist

Location: hirify.global Center in Austin, Texas, or hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. The role includes up to 15% domestic or international travel, mainly within the US. Relocation may be authorized.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Support product, process, and sustaining activities that enable business growth, quality, and sustainability.
• Lead technical interactions with marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical service, quality, regulatory, corporate laboratories, and manufacturing plants.
• Develop, validate, and improve manufacturing processes, product performance, and material specifications.
• Contribute to product and process change management related to product modifications, lifecycle management, quality improvement, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction.
• Identify and solve complex problems while implementing new or modified products and processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers, review business-level intellectual property positions, and prioritize multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience with manufacturing technologies such as extrusion and molding.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities and timelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically or internationally.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to protect intellectual property and follow corporate policies, security standards, and environmental health and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in engineering or physical science.
• Experience with adhesives, tape backings, EPDM, silicone, medium-voltage cable accessories, and electrical or mechanical testing.
• Knowledge of PLM, NPI, SKU and BOM creation, PFMEA, DFMEA, HOQ, and test method development.
• Knowledge of statistics, MSA, capability studies, data analysis, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma.
• Experience with hirify.global manufacturing operations and standards organizations such as ASTM or Underwriters Laboratories.
