TL;DR

Focus on synthesizing clinical and competitive insights, supporting research studies, and coordinating with cross-functional Medical Affairs, R&D, and Clinical Operations partners.

Location: Ohio territory, United States, supporting Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland; up to 70% travel is required.

Salary: $117,000–$201,250 base pay per year.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and approved medical assets.
  • Build professional relationships with community and academic key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across the territory.
  • Conduct objective, non-promotional scientific exchange and present clinical evidence tailored to healthcare professional needs.
  • Collect, synthesize, and submit actionable clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory insights.
  • Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies and connect investigators with internal research and grant processes.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, field partners, and other internal stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
  • Postgraduate experience for doctoral-level candidates, with clinical therapeutic-area experience preferred.
  • Scientific and therapeutic knowledge, research or healthcare-system knowledge, and clinical expertise.
  • Skills in data gathering and analysis, problem solving, strategic thinking, competitive landscape analysis, interpersonal influence, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Valid United States driver’s license required.
  • Ability to support the Ohio territory with up to 70% travel required.

Nice to have

  • At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in a Medical Science Liaison role.
  • At least two years of therapeutic-area experience.
  • Residency or fellowship training and board certification for clinical degrees.
  • Experience exploring and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
