Senior Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease - Western NC and SC

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, with a territory covering Western North Carolina and South Carolina; travel up to 60% is required

Salary: $172,344.30–$233,171.70 annual base salary

What you will do

• Serve as a scientific liaison to medical and scientific communities and build relationships with clinicians, medical thought leaders, academic institutions, medical directors, and pharmacy directors.
• Communicate scientific, medical, commercial-value, and health-economic information in accordance with compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Gather customer feedback, connect unmet needs with internal resources, and collaborate with medical affairs, clinical development, and other functional teams.
• Identify and train potential speakers for sponsored external speaker programs.
• Attend regional and national conferences and scientific meetings to support medical strategy, maintain relationships, and monitor clinical trends.
• Facilitate external investigator-initiated trials and company-sponsored trials while monitoring competitive developments in NMOSD and gMG.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience.
• Experience or strong potential to succeed in an entrepreneurial biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management, conferences, workshops, and company meetings; travel may involve workdays of up to 15 hours.
• Ability to learn new business applications across PC and iPad hardware tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another relevant doctoral degree.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
