Location: College Station, Texas, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience

Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences is establishing a PreAward Research Support Services unit to strengthen proposal development and support the college’s research enterprise.

What you will do

  • Support faculty and staff with planning, developing, and coordinating intramural and extramural research proposals.
  • Collect, organize, review, and maintain proposal documents, budgets, forms, templates, files, databases, and tracking tools.
  • Coordinate research-related conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, communications, and outreach activities.
  • Prepare program and proposal reports, track multidisciplinary grant submissions, and maintain document versions and deadlines.
  • Research sponsor programs and funding opportunities, maintain reference information, and distribute funding-opportunity communications.
  • Coordinate grant-related administrative activities, including travel arrangements, reimbursements, stipends, scheduling, and stakeholder workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of administrative, coordination, or related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and survey software.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, internal stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with research administration or sponsored research services.
  • Proofreading, content editing, or grant-writing experience.
  • Familiarity with Grants.gov and proposal requirements for foundations and other external funders.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary research proposals.
