Financial Analyst (DoD)

Location: Must reside within the National Capital Region (NCR). Options include Arlington, VA, Alexandria, VA, or telework within the NCR.

Salary: $99,000 — $144,000 USD

What you will do

• Prepare and process budget execution documentation, including Purchase Requests (PRs) and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs).
• Monitor and analyze program budget execution, focusing on commitments, obligations, expenditures, and funding status.
• Develop financial spreadsheets, dashboards, and status briefings for program leadership.
• Support all phases of the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
• Perform funds reconciliation and support Dormant Account Quarterly Reviews (DAR-Q).
• Analyze financial data to provide recommendations for improving budget execution and resource management.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of experience in financial management, including 5+ years supporting DoD financial systems.
• Experience initiating and processing MIPRs and conducting Unliquidated Obligation (ULO) research.
• Experience supporting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) two-year appropriation accounts.
• Must reside within the National Capital Region.

Nice to have

• Experience using DoD budget and resource analysis tools, techniques, and processes.
• Experience supporting financial audits.
• Experience with G-Invoicing, Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), and Advana.
