Medical Assistant

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States. Onsite role at a corporate health center. Schedule: Monday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and Tuesday–Thursday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support multiple providers with clinical care, patient follow-up, front-desk tasks, appointment scheduling, and supply ordering.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from a hirify.global-approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship.
• Online-only Medical Assistant courses are not accepted.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent organization.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and Epic experience are highly valued.
