Clinical / Medical Assistant - Edina

Salary: $21.50–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist physicians and clinicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment-room activities.
• Escort patients, collect vital signs and medical history updates, and prepare records before visits.
• Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Prepare, stock, and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Handle patient calls, referrals, prescriptions, rescheduling, and no-show communications.
• Complete clerical duties including chart preparation, filing, faxing, reception, and schedule maintenance.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program for the Medical Assistant track, or an accredited Medical Assistant diploma, EMT, or CNA qualification with one year of direct-care experience for the Clinical Assistant track.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Two to three years of experience is preferred; oncology experience is helpful.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification is preferred, with certification or registration required within six months of hire if not already obtained.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
