Company

hirify.global is an early-stage hardware startup that designs and builds semiconductor manufacturing hardware, software, fabrication tools, and components.

What you will do

  • Own software integration for semiconductor manufacturing equipment from prototype through production handoff.
  • Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and engineering tests on physical systems.
  • Write and modify control software and firmware in C, Rust, and Python to integrate subsystems and unblock testing.
  • Translate changes in electronics, actuators, and sensors into software requirements and interface definitions.
  • Analyze data and apply statistical modeling to identify root causes across software, hardware, mechanical, and process domains.
  • Manage integration schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and system-level FMEA activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing software for systems that control physical hardware.
  • Proficiency in C, Python, and Rust.
  • Working knowledge of electronics, including schematics, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and board-level debugging.
  • Experience with electromechanical actuators such as motors, valves, heaters, and sensors.
  • Ability to root-cause problems across software and hardware boundaries and communicate technical issues clearly across disciplines.

Nice to have

  • Experience with semiconductor equipment, robotics, industrial automation, or scientific instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, mass flow controllers, temperature control, precision motion, optics, or computer vision.
  • Experience with RTOS firmware, real-time control loops, hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure, or automated testing.
  • Experience with FMEA, requirements management, systems engineering, or taking hardware from prototype through production ramp.
  • Program or project management experience for hardware programs.

Culture & Benefits

  • Early-stage hardware startup with solid funding and experienced advisors.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
  • Paid time off, holidays, sick time, and paid parental leave.
  • Visa sponsorship is available.
  • Weekly learning and development opportunities, commuter benefits, office meals, and stocked kitchens.
