Process Technician (Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Initiate injection molding machine processes and adjust them within process tolerances.
• Monitor molding processes, analyze problems, and resolve product non-conformities according to quality standards.
• Recommend process improvements to the Molding Process Engineer to improve efficiency.
• Support setup and startup trials for new tools and resins.
• Optimize robot programs to reduce cycle time and meet gripper confirmation standards.
• Monitor workplace conditions, stop unsafe work or equipment use, and support incident and near-miss investigations.

Requirements

• At least two years of injection molding experience.
• Experience processing plastics and setting tools, with knowledge of automation systems and controls.
• Advanced analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to comply with customer-specific requirements and applicable OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards.
• Ability to support environmental, health, and safety compliance and complete incident reports accurately and promptly.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-tonnage injection molding equipment of 1,500 tons or more.
• Husky and Haitian machine experience.
• Automotive injection molding experience.
• Sepro and Husky robot programming experience.
