Process Engineer 1 (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Duncan, United States; some travel is required.

What you will do

• Optimize production process parameters and equipment to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and cycle times.
• Eliminate manufacturing waste involving time, scrap, and effort.
• Maintain machine and process capability and support production and maintenance with complex manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Maintain process documentation, including Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, and Re-Release Sheets, in line with IATF 16949.
• Define reference and boundary samples and provide process-specific input for new equipment requirements.
• Manage plant-level improvement projects, review engineering change requests, and investigate new automotive manufacturing technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience or knowledge with JIT principles.
• 1–2 years of experience in automated manufacturing, plastic processing, or continuous improvement.
• Analytical troubleshooting experience is desired.
• Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software, industrial automation, and controls.
• Good technical knowledge of lean manufacturing.
