Process Technician II - 3rd Shift

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Set molds in presses and run production using established process documentation.
• Start up and troubleshoot molding processes, making basic adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot molding machine and tooling malfunctions and communicate repair needs.
• Identify quality problems, work with the quality department on root causes, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Train process technician trainees and communicate operational issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow measures to prevent pollution and other environmental impacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience with mold setting and injection mold processing in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting molding processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and their processing characteristics.
• Experience with computer-controlled machines, hand tools, and precision measuring or testing instruments.
• Ability to climb ladders frequently and lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Experience with Engel machines and robots.
