ESS Terminal Systems Engineer (MILSATCOM)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. Standard work hours with minimal travel.

Salary: $135,000–$201,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure, platform, and software systems supporting national security and Space Force capabilities.
• Analyze system requirements and oversee their development, delivery, and implementation with external organizations.
• Develop and manage requirements, technical baselines, and Interface Control Documents for complex systems.
• Support systems engineering and integration activities, including test planning, integration, verification, and validation.
• Collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians, and U.S. Space Force personnel.
• Lead technical projects and contribute to engineering best practices and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in systems engineering.
• Experience developing or managing requirements or Interface Control Documents for complex systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; work must be performed onsite in a secure facility.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with MILSATCOM systems such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs.
• Experience with military and Department of Defense civilians, ground and airborne systems, terminals, and networks.
• Knowledge of Agile development and Jira/Confluence.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, INCOSE CSEP, or ESEP.
