Collection Specialist

What you will do

• Contact customers by phone, fax, email, and letter to bring delinquent accounts up to date.
• Monitor assigned delinquent accounts and complete system tasks within designated timeframes.
• Reconcile and apply customer payments, process delinquent payments, and initiate payment arrangements or settlements.
• Research billing concerns, misapplied payments, and recurring account issues, escalating complex matters when needed.
• Document account actions accurately and coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Billing, Controllership, and management.
• Process write-offs, bad debt recoveries, and credit memos according to established procedures and authority limits.

Requirements

• Work location: Galena, Kansas, USA.
• At least 2 years of collections or relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of collections transactions and processes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
