Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year

What you will do
- Lead complex aerospace engineering and aircraft certification projects.
- Serve as the primary interface with regulatory authorities, including FAA and military certification organizations.
- Manage certification activities, including certification plans, compliance bases, methods of compliance, and supporting artifacts.
- Coordinate military approvals and provide guidance on certification requirements to internal and external departments.
- Participate in design and management reviews, including preparing and presenting PDR and CDR materials.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance, and navigate certification challenges by proposing courses of action.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, with typically 6 or more years of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for experience.
- Basic understanding of computer-aided engineering tools and certification planning processes.
- Experience with military certification programs using MIL-HDBK-516 and/or FAA certification standards under 14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, or 29.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required for employment because an active U.S. security clearance is needed.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and travel up to 10%.
Nice to have
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry or project management.
- Experience coordinating approvals with DoD certifying authorities, FAA Aircraft Certification Offices, ODA organizations, or DERs and unit members.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation and familiarity with aircraft flight testing.
- Ability to review information across multiple engineering disciplines.
