TL;DR
Cabin Engineer III (Aerospace): Designing, analyzing, certifying, and supporting commercial aircraft cabin interiors, upgrades, reconfigurations, and engineering programs with an accent on complex technical problem solving, certification, and cross-functional delivery. Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; minimum 80% onsite and 20% remote

What you will do

  • Apply cabin engineering principles to solve complex technical problems across aircraft cabin programs.
  • Design, analyze, certify, and support aircraft cabin interiors, aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations, and services.
  • Create, review, and deliver technical documents, specifications, work statements, requirements, and presentations.
  • Automate engineering workflows, data analysis, and report generation using Python, Pandas, Google Apps Script, and AI tools.
  • Extract and process technical data from internal databases and supplier portals using web automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Guide engineering teams, suppliers, and customers while resolving technical issues and tracking commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in aircraft cabin interior design, stress or integration analysis, and certification.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available unless specifically stated.
  • Essential experience with Catia V5 and 2D/3D CAD; strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to independently develop technical approaches, write detailed engineering documentation, present information, and lead problem-solving activities.
  • Ability to work primarily onsite in Mobile, Alabama, including production-floor access and required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

  • Master of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with Airbus cabin and cargo engineering.
  • Python, VBA, or CAD macro scripting experience and PDM systems such as TAKSY or PASS-SSI.
  • Ability to qualify for technical signatory status.
  • French, German, or Spanish skills.
