Systems Integration and Test Engineer (SATCOM)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.

Salary: $135,000–$169,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Support the Protected Tactical SATCOM Program Office with acquisition, program management, technical execution, and contractor Assembly, Integration, and Test activities.
• Support government-led System of Systems integration and testing across space vehicles, payloads, ground systems, terminals, and enterprise interfaces.
• Assess contractor AI&T readiness, test execution, problem resolution, integration maturity, and technical performance.
• Identify technical issues, anomalies, risks, discrepancies, and downstream impacts to cost, schedule, quality, technical margins, and operational capability.
• Prepare written and verbal technical assessments, recommendations, acquisition documentation inputs, and risk updates for government stakeholders.
• Support requirements analysis, compliance document reviews, configuration changes, test planning, verification, and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience with SATCOM requirements development, AI&T, system testing, and production activities.
• Experience with program-office technical, schedule, cost, risk, and issue management.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and assessing spacecraft, payload, and SATCOM ground-system hardware.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, written communication, and technical presentation skills with limited supervision.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with System of Systems integration and testing across space, ground, and user segments.
• Familiarity with government test frameworks, verification strategies, integration planning, Class I changes, configuration management, and technical baselines.
• Systems engineering or program management certifications such as CSEP, ESEP, PMI, or PMP.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
