Branch Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: Columbia, Missouri, United States. Initial training is in person, followed by potential work-from-home flexibility based on job responsibilities and leadership approval. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims under close supervision.
• Study policies, endorsements, forms, and claim-handling procedures for assigned insurance products.
• Develop claim negotiation, settlement, estimating, and loss-adjustment skills.
• Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties.
• Complete the company claims training program and obtain and maintain adjuster licenses when legally required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, make independent decisions, and resolve complex issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and correspondence.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security and work effectively with diverse individuals.
• Ability to accurately handle mathematical problems involving geometry, sums, unit costs, and financial documents.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and a driving record consistent with company underwriting guidelines.

Nice to have

• Prior auto claims handling, body shop, or insurance agency experience.
