Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Duluth, Georgia, United States; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $45,675–$51,903 per year

What you will do

• Support civil engineering projects from conceptual design through completion and help ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Assist with feasibility studies, site investigations, risk assessments, technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Develop engineering designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Support technical proposals and project documentation while learning applicable engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES-equivalent institution.
• Must be able to work in the Duluth, Georgia office at least 3 days per week.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Preference is given to candidates who can participate for at least 3 months and work full-time during the internship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
