Principle Mechanical Integrity Specialist (Mechanical Integrity)

Location: California, United States; travel to remote sites in other states and Canada may be required, up to 50%.

Salary: $126,300–$168,100 annually, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate field inspections for piping systems, tanks, pressure vessels, and fired equipment.
• Manage third-party inspection, scaffolding, and insulation contractors.
• Assess inspection findings, complete technical reports, and maintain records in SAP, CMMS, and Credosoft.
• Support pressure-system failure investigations, root cause analysis, audits, shutdowns, and emergency outages.
• Improve Mechanical Integrity Inspection Programs and support inspection-data migration.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Metallurgy, and external inspection partners.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of field experience in Mechanical Integrity inspection of piping and vessels.
• API 510 Vessel Inspection Certification and API 570 Piping Inspection Certification.
• Experience with inspection methods for vessels, tanks, and piping, including ultrasonic, ACFM, eddy current, and radiographic methods.
• Ability to read drawings, communicate effectively, organize work independently, and lead a crew.
• Ability to work extended hours and provide night-shift coverage when needed.
• Ability to work in industrial environments, confined spaces, elevated areas, scaffolding, manlifts, supplied-air or air-purifying respiratory protection, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience in petrochemical or industrial gases environments.
• Knowledge of equipment properties, behaviors, and hazards.
• SAP or equivalent CMMS experience.
