What you will do

• Perform advanced piping flexibility and stress analyses using CAESAR II or equivalent software.
• Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, equipment data sheets, and design narratives.
• Evaluate nozzle loads, equipment interface forces, pipe supports, restraints, anchors, guides, spring supports, and expansion joints.
• Design and review mechanical and process piping systems, P&IDs, layouts, isometrics, and 3D models for integrity and constructability.
• Coordinate designs with structural, electrical, process, controls, architectural, and construction disciplines.
• Support projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, startup, commissioning, field inspections, and RFIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including at least 5 years of piping stress analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of piping stress analysis, thermal expansion, seismic and wind loading, vibration mitigation, pipe support design, and industrial utility and process piping systems.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII fundamentals, equipment interfaces, and nozzle load evaluation.
• Experience with CAESAR II or equivalent, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, or equivalent 3D design platforms.
• PE license preferred and required when responsible for sealing engineering calculations and design documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, food and beverage, life sciences, semiconductor, or other industrial process projects.
• Experience supporting projects from conceptual engineering through construction and commissioning.
