Information System Security Manager (ISSM)

Location: Washington DC Metro Area; primarily remote with required access to DoD installation space for meetings and ad hoc work. Travel up to 25%.

Salary: $155,000–$190,000 for the DC area; $155,000–$190,000 for Point Mugu, California; $145,000–$185,000 for Maryland.

What you will do

• Provide cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework support for Test Resource Management Center systems and applications.
• Prepare executive briefings, assessments, self-assessments, RMF packages, software certification packages, and supporting documentation.
• Review ACAS and HBSS reports, audit RMF artifacts, and determine readiness for Authority to Operate submissions.
• Lead security audits, compliance activities, vulnerability remediation, mitigation planning, and POA&M reviews.
• Coordinate with the TRMC SISO, program managers, Authorizing Officials, ISSOs, developers, end users, government personnel, and senior leadership.
• Support security engineering projects, executive program reviews, system status reporting, and interconnection agreements with outside agencies.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• At least two years of information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, and security assessment experience supporting the RMF process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or eight years of IT experience in lieu of a degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with Special Access Programs, NIST Special Publications, NIST 800-53, security development, and assessments of classified and unclassified environments.
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, communication skills, adaptability, and ability to interface with senior leadership on high-priority projects.
