Senior Data Analyst

Location: Remote within Canada; must be based in Canada

What you will do

• Analyze complex scientific and operational datasets to identify insights, trends, and opportunities.
• Develop analytics solutions that provide visibility into KPIs and performance metrics.
• Map business processes, business rules, and data flows to support solution design and optimization.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, lead workshops, and define user stories for data and analytics products.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing cycles and collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams.
• Perform data profiling, mining, validation, testing, and ad-hoc analysis; present findings clearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in complex SQL, data mining, data profiling, and data validation/testing.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst in data and analytics, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Minimum five years of experience organizing and running User Acceptance Testing cycles and training business users.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology and translating business requirements into user stories.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in the life-science or biotechnology industry.
