Fullstack And Backend Node.js TypeScript/JavaScript Engineer (Senior) - Remote, Latin America

Location: Remote in Latin America; must overlap with US business hours.

What you will do

• Build low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Develop secure multi-tenant applications and integrate SDKs with external services.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL and AuroraDB databases, including row-level security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
• Contribute to full-stack development, including React frontend work when needed.
• Create and maintain CI/CD applications and containerized cloud services.
• Build integration and fault-injection tests for large, complex systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a backend focus.
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, AWS, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and AuroraDB.
• Experience with secure multi-tenant environments, SDK integrations, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
• Professional React experience and a solid understanding of full-stack development.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode testing.
• Bachelor’s degree, strong ownership, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and availability to overlap with US business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models.
• Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation, AWS Fargate/ECS, and compliance-sensitive domains.
