Full Stack Engineer (React & AWS)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in Madison, New Jersey; Manhattan; the Greater Boston Area; South Florida; or the Greater Seattle Area, United States.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications from frontend interfaces through backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Develop RESTful APIs, gRPC and Thrift integrations, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, automated testing, security, observability, and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product managers, architects, and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on, production-grade full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and reusable UI components.
• Backend development experience with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js, including REST, gRPC, Thrift, and Koa.
• Knowledge of system design, distributed systems, scalability, performance optimization, relational and non-relational databases, AWS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, distributed teams, technical ownership, stakeholder communication, and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Elasticsearch, event-driven architectures, Kafka, or AWS EventBridge experience.
• Monorepo environments, Bazel, shared UI component libraries, or enterprise design systems.
• Infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Experience in real estate technology, marketplace platforms, or customer-facing SaaS products.
