Senior Expert Application Development (Python/React)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Modernise and enhance an internal Licensing Compliance Analysis Platform.
• Refactor and modularise codebases during the migration from a monolithic system to distributed processing and microservices.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrate new and existing services.
• Develop backend and frontend features using Python, React, and Vue 3.
• Work with data models, PostgreSQL, ArangoDB, and Pydantic-based schemas.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience developing with Python; Flask or FastAPI experience is preferred.
• Experience with SQL databases and designing or consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong unit and integration testing experience.
• Comfort with Linux, Docker, GitHub, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with microservices or distributed architectures.
• Fluent or professional English and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Redux, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
• Experience with Kotlin, data visualisation, or graph databases such as ArangoDB and Neo4j.
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as pandas and NumPy.
• Experience working with legacy codebases and refactoring projects.
