Project Controls Engineer II (Risk Management)

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States; 5 days in office

Salary: $105,000–$117,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide project controls support to program and project teams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocations, and progress updates.
• Track budgets, expenses, financial forecasts, and project cost performance.
• Prepare cost reports, financial analyses, status reports, dashboards, metrics, and KPIs.
• Document project risk management plans, maintain risk registers, and support mitigation strategies.
• Perform quantity surveys using on-screen takeoff tools when required by the assigned project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related industry.
• Experience using estimating software to price activities from quantity surveys.
• Availability to work in the office 5 days per week in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
• Ability to work standard office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm ET.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Visio.
• Experience with Power BI, DAX programming, or VBA programming.
