Senior Manufacturing Technician, Casting Finishing

Location: Onsite at the Cincinnati, Ohio manufacturing facility. The posting also lists Loveland, Ohio as the position location and identifies additional company facilities in Centennial, Colorado, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mount Vernon, Ohio.

What you will do

• Operate hand grinders, belt grinders, rotary tools, abrasives, and other manual finishing equipment.
• Remove flash, gates, risers, burrs, excess material, and other imperfections from metal castings.
• Finish castings according to work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and process requirements.
• Visually inspect parts, identify defects or nonconforming conditions, and segregate or escalate affected material.
• Maintain material, lot, and part traceability and complete production and quality records.
• Follow safety and PPE requirements, maintain equipment and work areas, and support continuous improvement with Production, Quality, and Engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and relevant manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in foundry, casting, metalworking, aerospace manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
• Experience with grinding, deburring, blending, polishing, or other metal-finishing operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, manufacturing travelers, work instructions, and process specifications.
• Ability to perform detailed manual work, identify visible defects, use basic dimensional inspection techniques, and complete manufacturing documentation.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.
