Senior Tooling Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development of tooling from concept through implementation on the production floor.
• Design complex jigs, fixtures, molds, dies, and assembly tools for aerospace manufacturing using CAD software.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and finite element analysis to validate tooling durability and precision.
• Lead tooling projects through requirements gathering, design reviews, prototyping, validation, and production delivery.
• Optimize tooling efficiency, cycle times, product quality, and manufacturing repeatability with production and manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate with design engineering, supply chain, quality, suppliers, and production teams to resolve tooling and manufacturability issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in tooling design and development.
• Experience with CAD-based tooling design, tolerance analysis, FEA, and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to support new product introduction, pilot runs, production transition, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Experience working with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP is required for compliance-related work.
• The role may require access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information, subject to applicable authorization, citizenship, and eligibility requirements.
