Robotics Assembly Technician (Robotics): Operating and supporting robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box inspection, and other automated manufacturing cells for automotive, aerospace, and defense components with an accent on equipment operation, material flow, and production safety. Focus on troubleshooting robotic, mechanical, and electrical issues, maintaining equipment reliability, and improving high-volume manufacturing efficiency.

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite production environment

Salary: $39–$55 per hour depending on Technician II/T02 or Technician III/T03 level.

What you will do

  • Operate, monitor, and support robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box inspection, and other automated manufacturing cells.
  • Maintain part flow, stage and move materials, and support shipping, receiving, and shop logistics, including forklift operation.
  • Prepare parts through masking, cleaning, light mechanical assembly, adhesive-ready preparation, and digital validation.
  • Perform routine operational maintenance and troubleshoot basic robotic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • Update work instructions and checklists, report nonconformances, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Follow safety procedures while working around moving machinery and keep production areas clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls and be eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating industrial robots such as Kuka, ABB, FANUC, or Yaskawa, or automated production equipment.
  • Understanding of robotic operation, automation troubleshooting, and mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, communicate effectively, and work independently.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kuka six-axis robots or similar robotic manipulators.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and HMI interfaces.
  • Experience with automated adhesive dispensing equipment.
  • Background in high-volume, multi-cell, or high-mix automated production.
