TL;DR
Automation Maintenance Technician II (Robotics): Repairing, calibrating, inspecting, and operating robotic warehouse automation systems, including automated vehicles, adapters, vertical lifts, PLCs, and robotic arms with an accent on electro-mechanical troubleshooting, system recovery, and safety. Focus on diagnosing stoppages from schematics, maintaining continuous system throughput, performing work at heights and in restrictive environments, and documenting repairs in CMMS.

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; onsite. Approximately 75% of the role is performed on a construction site with required PPE. The role involves working at heights of up to 45 feet, in restrictive areas as narrow as 24 inches, and climbing steep stairs.

Salary: $25.96–$35.96 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

  • Inspect, operate, repair, calibrate, replace, and modify components across automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic vehicles, adapters, and vertical lifts.
  • Troubleshoot robotic vehicle anomalies and stoppages using schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC knowledge, and advanced test equipment.
  • Monitor automated inbound and outbound flows through adapters to support throughput and system continuity.
  • Perform robotic arm setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and tool changes.
  • Complete inspections, maintenance documentation, parts tracking, and labor records in the CMMS.
  • Recover robotic vehicles, perform minor utility and machining work, maintain 5S standards, and communicate production-impacting issues and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience with mechanical automation systems or equivalent education or training.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills, PLC troubleshooting knowledge, and the ability to read electro-mechanical diagrams.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience or certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, follow procedures, multitask, meet productivity expectations, and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Written and verbal English proficiency is required.
  • Ability to work safely onsite in PPE, climb stairs, work at heights, enter restrictive areas, lift up to 50 pounds frequently and move items up to 80 pounds.
