Deployment & Applications Technician (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Five days per week in the office when not actively on a deployment; travel to deployment locations within the United States is required.

Salary: $32.50–$37.00 per hour in Massachusetts.

What you will do

• Travel to deployment sites to install and commission robotic food systems.
• Perform mechanical installation, electrical wiring, pneumatic plumbing, hardware installation, inspections, functional checks, adjustments, and punch-list work.
• Execute application tests in the Boston lab, preparing equipment, ingredients, test materials, and documentation.
• Assemble, modify, inspect, and validate prototype parts and systems under engineering direction.
• Collect test data, document observations, update test records and SOP feedback, and escalate safety, quality, or technical issues.
• Support lab operations, including receiving shipments, organizing storage, disassembly, cleaning, shipping, and returns.

Requirements

• At least two years of related experience as a service, assembly, robotics, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC technician.
• Working knowledge of mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, pneumatic plumbing, controls, PLCs, and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform first-level troubleshooting and recognize when escalation is required.
• Availability to travel up to 75%, including different forms of transportation within the United States, and consistent access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to climb, bend, and stoop for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Clear professional communication in English is required. Proficiency with Google Docs and Sheets and ability to learn tools such as Jira are also required.
