Plant Operator (Testing Technician) (NDT)

Location: Ramsey, Minnesota, United States; onsite at the filling industrial facility

Pay rate: $24/hour

What you will do

• Perform non-destructive testing inspections on gas cylinders using high-frequency sound waves to measure thickness and detect cracks, corrosion, and other defects.
• Navigate and evaluate cylinder data from testing equipment while following testing procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Inspect cylinders for surface defects and corrosion before testing and uphold quality inspection standards.
• Operate a forklift in a confined space to move cylinder pallets safely in and out of the testing facility.
• Support equipment and machinery maintenance, calibration, cylinder painting, and daily testing operations.
• Review and document test results to maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and DOT regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of related technical or mechanical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and data-verification skills.
• Commitment to hirify.global safety programs, OSHA requirements, and applicable workplace rules and procedures.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or maintenance aptitude.
