TL;DR
Diesel Mechanic (Diesel): Maintaining and repairing diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment with an accent on chassis, hydraulic, electrical, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Focus on diagnosing multi-system malfunctions, performing welding and fabrication, and providing safe road service for heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
Location: Round Rock, TX, USA; onsite work supporting a local vehicle fleet and providing road service when necessary.
Compensation: $10,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do
- Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, refuse bodies, chassis, and related equipment.
- Service hydraulic, electrical, air brake, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and light engine systems.
- Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance, basic tire work, line maintenance welding, and fabrication.
- Provide safe road service to return company equipment to operation.
- Complete company training programs and support fleet drivers and route operations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within three months.
- Experience with Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
- Ability to perform basic inspections and diagnose systems including suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic knowledge of work-order labor time standards and the ability to diagnose multi-system issues.

- Automotive Service Excellence certifications T1–T8.
- Commercial Driver’s License.
